MG Car Repair: 1974 MGB, starter solenoid, good shape

Question
I just received a MGB that has been sitting for about 4 years in good shape.
I have changed the battery, given it new gas but will not turn over.
What do you suggest?

Hi Oronzo,

You are going to have to explain a little before I can even guess what may be wrong. what do you mean "it won't turn over"?

The engine is locked up and won't turn over?
The starter spins free and won't engage the ring gear?
The Starter solenoid don't make any noise and nothing happens?
The lights on the instrument panel don't light up when you turn the key to the "Start" position?
The lights on the instrument panel come on when you turn the key to "IGN" but go out when You turn to the "Start" position?
