MG Car Repair: Headlights, high beams, headlight bulb

Question
I have a 1979 MGB which will not pass inspection because the high beams will not work.  Could you give me instructions for repair?  Thank you.

Hi Ron,
Go to my web site and copy the wiring diagram and start at the head light with the high beams turned on with the dimmer switch with the use of a 12v test light. If you have no power in the headlight bulb socket then move the the plug connector (usually in behind the grill close to each fender well) Use the color code to ID the wire from the diagram. Blue w/white, I think?. If no power there continue on toward the dimmer switch with your test light. You will quickly arrive at what is wrong.
