MG Car Repair: 1968 Turn Signal failures, bentley manuals, haynes manuals

Question
I saw you response to a prior 68 turn signal issue.  Honestly speaking, I am not the most comfortable with the electrical side.  Can you suggest a site with more specific pictures or a book that will help me through your very good step-by-step explanations?  My car is in great shape if I can just get the turn signals working!

Answer
Hi Steve,
If you plan to keep the car (unknown 68 car), you need to purchase a service manual for the car. Most auto parts stores handle Haynes manuals or you can order Bentley manuals on the Internet. The manual will have important info necessary to do most any kind of repairs, then if you run into something that is not clear or not covered you can use this program to get help. (with make and model). For any electrical problem like turn signal failure you need a 12v test light, a wiring diagram for the car and a manual that usually gives photos or drawings of the components you are working with. Those three tools are necessary to do electrical work like you need now. If you get into starter / alternator problems you will need a volt meter also.

If you found an answer to someones' question that matches your car just get a test light and if you don't have a diagram let me know and I will put one up on my web site for you to copy. #I need make and model or the car#
