MG Car Repair: gas pedal, roadster factory, moss motors

Question
QUESTION: Yesterday my gas pedal literally broke off. like all the way off in the middle of the shaft. I have been looking everywhere and I can't find another one for sale. Where can I buy a new pedal, or do I need to hire someone to fabricate one for me?

ANSWER: Hi Mariah,
What kind of car is this?

QUESTION: Oops lol, it's a 1970 MGB

Answer
The MGB throttle pedal is a steel bar bent to fit the car so if it broke all you need to do is remove it and weld it back together or have it welded. It is difficult to get to the one bolt that the pedal is supported by. If you would rather have a new one you should contact one of the MG parts suppliers like Moss Motors, Engel Imports, The Roadster Factory or Victoria British. They all have web sites.
