MG Car Repair: 1972 Mg midget, moss motors, mg midget

I own a 1972 Mg Midget, and am currently rebuilding (putting back together) the old girl. I was wondering if you had any good info on the carbs. It has the 1275 with the stock SU carbs in them. I've seen some with mods like a manifold and different carbs altogether. Thank you

P.S. and if you would happen to have any reference pics of a stock 1275 engine from multiple angles, that would be great. I've looked on google for some, but not any real good ones.

Hi Clint.  Have a look at the Moss Motors website.  They have a section on fuel systems and another section on performance & tuning.

In the tuning section I can see both sidedraught and downdraught Weber conversions, including manifolds and linkages.

I find their (free) catalogue very good, and the exploded diagrams are excellent.  

If I can find any good photos I will edit this response and you will receive a reminder to look again.
