MG Car Repair: Midget chain timing, sprocket, correct position

Question
We are rebuilding a 1275 Midget 72 engine, but we want to be sure of the correct position of the sprocket and chain timing. Is there some marks and the position of them?

Hi Manuel,
The timing marks are on the face of each sprocket and they are usually dots. If you draw a line from the center of the crankshaft to the center of the camshaft and put the dot of each sprocket on that line and facing each other, then the cam is timed correctly.
