MG Car Repair: suspension conversion, mgb moss, rubber bushes

Question
I have a 1976 MGB and would like to redo the suspension, both front and back.  I understand that there are converstion kits available to upgrade the systems to coil type shocks.  Is there truth to that, and if so, are there any you could recommend.  Thank you again for yoor knowledge

Answer
The most cost-effective improvement is to convert the rear to telescopics such as Koni, fit a 3/4 inch diameter anti-roll bar to the front, and to fit lowered springs all round.  I would also replace all the rubber bushes with polyurethane.  All the above are available from Moss in the USA.

Why not start by getting their free catalogue?

Their website is a good starting place:

Go to http://www.mossmotors.com/ and click on MGB.

Moss also offer a front and rear coil-over-shock-absorber system for the MGB, developed by a UK company called Frontline Costello.
