MG Car Repair: fuel filter, mgb gt, fuel filter

i own a mgb gt which has been running fine until a week ago she has started chugging and is now of road, how do you clean the fuel filters and where are they situated? also what do you think would be the main cause for this problem?

If someone has installed a fuel filter it will probably be just before the carburetors in the fuel line under the hood (bonnet over there)mounted on the firewall. Our MGs (US versions)didn't come with any fuel filter until the 1975 models.

How did you determine that a fuel filter was your problem? The symptom of "chugging and then not running at all" can be caused by a thousand things. The only way to find the problem is by a test procedure. You need to first read my tech tip on my web site on testing an engine.
