QUESTION: i am replacing windscreen and seals in a 1973 MG Midget. can you tell me the best way to do it?

ANSWER: Hi Tim,
You need to remove the windshield from the car by the two screws on each side and then disassemble the frame to install the new seal. Not much to taking it apart but is better to make it a two man job to assemble with a new seal.

Tim, there are no step by step instructions nor are they necessary to remove and disassemble the frame to put the new seal in. Just remove the two bolts on each windshield post and remove the center stay rod and remove the windshield and then just take out all the screws you can find and it will be apart. There is no exotic sequence and no little hidden parts that will pop out. This is the reason no manual covers the taking apart of the windshield.
