MG Car Repair: Lower control arms, polyurethane bushes, negative camber

Question
My '76 B needs new lower control arms.  I noticed VB sells a negative camber set that they say improves handling.  What are the advantages and disadvantages of this change?

Answer
Negative camber front arms will make the front end grip better, but you will tend to lose the rear end.  Do you have a front anti-roll bar?  The 75/76 models had none.  Even the later 76/80 cars only had a 9/16 bar.

Because of the way that rubber-bumper MGBs handle, I would recommend standard lower arms plus a 3/4 inch anti-roll bar at the front and Koni telescopic dampers at the rear.   You should also fit V8 bushes to the new arms, or polyurethane bushes are even better.
