QUESTION: Can you give me any tips on the best way to fit a new quarter glass window, I'm struggling to make the glass fit properly with the rubber seal

What are you replacing? The glass only, the glass with it's chrome holder or the whole quarter window with the door glass runner?

Mark, if you installed the new rubber seal in the outer frame so that it sits in place into its grove then put the quarter glass with it's frame into place and lube the rubber and force the glass into place and just leave it there, the rubber will conform to the glass frame (if you forced the rubber into its grove correctly.)

I have just finished installing two in a MGB and they were slightly oversized but after getting them in and letting them sit for a week or so they seem to be ok but you do need to lube them well with silicone lube.
