Demo, if you mean the position in the cap, that depends on how it was set up the last time it had been apart. Do this to find which position to place #1.
Remove #1 spark plug and rotate the engine with your thumb over the plug hole. When you feel compression pushing your thumb off of the hole look at the timing marks and move the engine on until the mark lines up with TDC (Top Dead Center) That is the position that #1 cylinder is firing. Now remove the distributor cap and note which post the rotor is pointing to in the cap and put #1 wire in that position. Then place the other wires in order 1,3,4,2 around the cap in a counter clockwise order.
