MG Car Repair: key stuck in the ignition, wd 40, lock smith

77 MGB--How do I get a key stuck in the ignition out?  -It won't move forward or backward and and won't come out.  thanx for any help

Hi Ivan,
You may try removing the whole unit from the steering column by using a small chisel and hammer to unscrew the shear-off bolts the hold it to the column. Then try to wiggle it and spray something like WD-40 in it, and if it still will not come loose you need to just take it to a lock smith.
