MG Car Repair: Courtesy light switch, pin switch, courtesy light

Question
I purchased a 72 MG Midget. The courtesy light switch on the driver side door is broken, the passenger side works. The passenger side has a single wire into a terminal. The driver side has three wires, 1 green and 1 green with white stripe into separate terminals and a red wire soldered into the back. The replacement switch I purchased from Victoria British only has one terminal. I can not figure out a combination that makes it work. Can you help?

Answer
Hi Craig,
All Midgets had one wire to the switch and it was a purple w/white stripe. The switch was a grounding switch so only required one wire.
All green wires and green w/stripe are accessory wires. All red wires are small  light power wires. It sounds to me like someone has wired up a switch that was a on/off powered switch. The Midget should have just had an all metal one pin switch to ground the purple w/white stripe wire.
