Hi Van,

Thanks again for answering my last question. I read one of your posting regarding changing a m1010 to a pick up, is it a big job to do? this is what I would like to do with mine, but I don't really know where to start, is this a big job to take on? Thanks for your help

There were a few of us working on it, but no, it really wasn't much of a problem.
With the bed removed, I just used sheet metal to fill the door opening into the ambulance box.
I actually took one of the door windows out of the box, and cut a hole in the sheet metal for the window and moulding to fit right in.
Used some plywood to kinda strengthen the sheet metal.
On one truck, even removed the riveted in metal, and framed in an orriginal rear window.

Then, when a regular pickup bed was installed, the light connections were already there.

Not any problem at all.

Answer
Yes to both questions, but when you cut the wire harness to the ambulance body, either have the batteries disconnected, or just cut one wire at a time. But a good clean flat cut without bare wires hanging where they can touch each other, or ground, is what you want.
Tape them if you want, but not really necessary.
Cut the frame extensions off. You should be able to see where the orriginal frame ends.
