Military Vehicle Repair: Key for M 1008 CD-30903, chevy dealers, m 1008

I"m to pick-up my first M1008 and have hit the wall trying to get an ignition/door key in advance.  I've tried 6 GM/Chevy dealers and they all claim that there aren't any key codes for anything prior to 1993 and of course the Site Manager won't sell me a copy.  I'm scheduled to get the truck early Tuesday morning.  Please help me out.  Thanks.

The site manager? You bought a truck from some place, and they won't give you a key?

ALL 1008 keys are the same....every one of them. Must be about a million. But they are all the same.
See if there is another one sitting around that has a key in it if you are getting it from a DRMO.

I'd like to know where you are getting it. That kind of stuff ticks me off.

I wonder if you just happened to outbid HIM on that truck.

Don't let them lift the truck with a forklift to load it.....they will bend the driveshaft, and possibly even break the transfer case. Bend the door and bed also. I have seen it happen.

Why don't you call me at work tomorrow morning, about 0830 to 1000 central time.
