Military Vehicle Repair: alternator bolt, replacement bolt, caterpillar dealer

Do you know where I can get the long lower bolt the holds the passenger side alternator on my cucv? Its about 7 inches long and no parts stores have even seen one like it.Is there another way to attach the alternator to the bracket? I did get lucky enough to get the broken piece out of the head with an easy out,but I cant find a replacement bolt. Any ideas? thank you in advance.

Instead of a parts store, try a hardware type store. See if there is a Fastenall near you.
A machine shop usually has a good selection also.
That is not really all that unusual a bolt, except for an auto parts store.

Heavy equipment shops, like a Caterpillar dealer, or John Deere is another thought.
