Mitsubishi Repair: troubleshooting, fuel supply system, charging system

Question
i have a 3000gt 91 manual just replaced starter and still wont start

Answer
Richard,
The 3 main areas that can contribute to an engine not starting are:
- Ignition
- Fuel
- Air

If you have a weak or lack of spark, you need have your ignition and charging system inspected. If your engine is starving for fuel, you need to check your fuel supply system; including the pump, filter, regulator, etc.  If spark and fuel are getting to the engine normally, then you may have a lack of air.  This could be caused by clogged filter, leaks in the intake, or even a clog in the exhaust.  It's possible you may even have an electrical issue.  You should have your car's computer inspected.  See this website for further information:

If your ECU is damaged, that can cause starting problems.  So it's worth checking out.
Good luck!
