Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi problems, using jumper cables, professional mechanic

Question
Last night i was driving and my car completely shut down. It still cranks now but won't start. I tried putting in more gas, more oil, and using jumper cables. I have no clue what it can be, but i'm tight on money right now and need it running asap.

Answer
Stevey,
This may be something a regular tune-up could resolve.  If you haven't already, you should probably investigate the following items and replace if necessary:
Inspect the alternator (it may not be putting our sufficient power to keep the car running)
Check the ignition components (spark plugs, wires, ignition coils (distributor, cap, rotor if equipped)
Replace air filter
Replace fuel filter
Inspect fuel pump (may be worn and not putting our enough fuel)
Inspect air intake components (throttle body, EGR valve, PCV valve, etc)
Check ignition timing (make sure the engine is timed appropriately)

For any of the items that you are unable to check yourself, have a professional mechanic take a look.
Good luck!
