Mitsubishi Repair: ZERO RPM ON INTERSTATE, 2006 mitsubishi outlander, mitsubishi outlander

Question
Good day....
I have a 2006 Mitsubishi OUtlander that had the timing belt break, 3 months ago..they replace the valves and springs and timing belt...the car hasn't run right since, however, 3 mths later I am tooling down the interstate, pressed on the gas to get around a car, my rpms shot up and then went to zero and the car stopped...the engine would turn over, but that is it...
HELP
thanks
Mandi

Answer
Amanda,
It's hard to tell without looking, but it's possible the belt broke again.  You'll need to have a mechanic check on this for sure.  If it is the timing belt that broke, and the mechanic that installed that one backs their work, then they should fix this at their expense, not yours.
Good luck!
