Questiondriving to work when my 91 model lancer cut out , i pulled over and fired it back up , it went but not sounding the best ,so i limped it home ,went to start it after work but nothing , rang up a mobile mechanic got him out , he said its the distributor ,got one put it in and still no spark.ENGINE WONT GO .

This may be a problem with the ignition coil or perhaps the ignition timing. There's a chance that it may be the car's computer itself. There's a known issue for computers on Mitsubishis produced between 89-94. You can read this article for more information:
