Mitsubishi Repair: problem with the o2 wiring, heather heather, o2 sensor

Question
I have a 2000 Mit Eclipse, so the red wire for the o2 sensor wiring harness that goes to the mpi relay for power is cut which is making the check engine light come on. Do you know if this is a hard and expensive repair? I can't find the other part of the cut wire that is in the harness to reconnect. Thank you, Heather

Answer
Heather,
You may want to consider replacing the entire O2 sensor; one which comes with a harness that matches your car's connector.  But if you attempt to correct this yourself, you'll want a very solid connection, which would involve soldering in patch cable and putting wire shrink tubing around it.
Good luck!
