Mitsubishi Repair: 1995 Daimante 2.5L V6, valve lifters, fuel injectors

When running there is a constant tapping type sound coming from the engine and the sound speeds up as I accelerate and also speeds up if I Rev the car while idling. Any advice or help would be much appreciated, Thank you.

The most common components that cause that sound are either the fuel injectors or the valve lifters.  If it really bothers you, you can ask your mechanic to pull and clean your injectors and lifters.  The more expensive alternative would be to replace them if they are faulty.
