Mitsubishi Repair: Fuel Sending unit, gas gauge, fuel sending unit

 I have a 99 Mirage in which the Fuel sending unit seems to be making the gas gauge go haywire.  I have looked on line for sending units without success, is it attached to the fuel pump on this model and do I need to replace the whole pump?

Most sending units are incorporated into the fuel pump.  It may be a sign that your fuel pump may need replacing soon.  Fuel pumps rarely give any warning before they go bad, so it's best to have it checked out before it simply fails completely while you're driving.
