Mitsubishi Repair: firing problem, camshaft position sensor, intermittent problems

my 92 3000gt will fire sometimes but wont keep firing and i want to know what could be wrong because ive checked everything i could think of and still have had no luck. could you assist me with this problem?

Without knowing what you've done already, my response may not help much.  Be sure to check the ignition coils, plugs, and plug wires.  Also check your camshaft position sensor.  

There may even be a problem with the car's computer itself.  Read this article for more information.  It describes a problem that can affect all Mitsubishis made between 1989-1994:

If your ECU has a malfunction, it can cause intermittent problems.
