Mitsubishi Repair: tcl/brakes, wheel sensors, mitsu

Question
I own a 2000 mitsu diamante equipped with TCL(traction control)
I am having a problem with the car dying it starts up fine, warms up fine but right out of my driveway the tcl indicator comes on and the car dies. I was thinking since the tcl is intertwined with the brake system and my brake pads are long overdue for replacement that maybe the two were connected. I would appreciate your thoughts on my situation. Thanks,Rick.

Answer
Rick,
The TCL system does interact with the braking system, though it determines if it needs to activate based on wheel sensors. Though I do not know if a bad wheel sensor would cause your car to die.  Since you need to get your brakes replaced anyway, have the mechanic inspect your wheel sensor for any damage of debris build-up.
Good luck!
