Mitsubishi Repair: a/c drain blocked 2002 Lancer, backyard mechanic, c drain

My 2002 Lancer annually has an issue with the AC unit compresser blockage.  Water accumulates and drips on the passenger side and you can hear a shloshing noise,  A freind fixed it once by opening something under the car. The other times the dealer would fix for 40.00 but last time they disabled my fan unit and tryed to convince me that it stopped working for a $500 repair.  I want to know where the plug is located so I can have a backyard mechanic do it for me.

There is no actual plug, but there is a drain tube.  It's normally located under the car on the passenger side; under where the glove box would be.  You may have luck using compressed to remove the clog via the drain hose.  This may have been what your friend did.  You can even go to local mechanic to see if they can unclog it for a lot less than the dealership would charge.
