Mitsubishi Repair: 1992 eagle summit 1.8 4cyl minivan, crank angle sensor, eagle summit

Question
Hi. It stalled & will not run. It turns over great, lots of battery power. I checked spark plugs & they all have spark. i tested them in the plug wire holder & set  beside the engine. i check the fuel supply at the tube that goes into the inj rail & fuel does come out. i am not sure what the pressure is, but i been told about 40-45 psi. (i dont have a gauge) so i was going to replace the fuel filter, but first i tried squirting fuel into the throttle chamber, while turning it over & it still would not start, or stumble or even hiccup. I checked the fuel injectors by listening to them & they all were clicking. so the next thing i did i took out the spark plugs again & put a little fuel into the chambers & put the plugs back in. When i turned it over, it did not even stumble, it just turns over. i then checked the compression and all 4 cylinders were between 150-160 psi. I am now at a loss. I hope you can help. Thanks

Answer
Kevin,
You may want to check the ignition timing.  If the computer detects the timing is off, it will prevent the car from starting.  This can be caused by a faulty belt, malfunctioning crank angle sensor or even a bad computer.  Read this article for some more information:

If your ECU is damaged, you can experience these types of problems.  Inspect your ECU for damage and replace if necessary.
Good luck!
