Mitsubishi Repair: overheating, eclipse spyder, radiator fan

Question
(2001 eclipse spyder 4.2 automatic )when I Stop the temperature hand move to hot but when I Excelerate It move back to normal I have changed the thermostat but that didn't help.what do you think.

Answer
Woodrow,
This problem can occur when you have a below normal amount of coolant in the system, the water pump is not circulating the coolant around the system proper, there is an excessive amount of air in the system, there is a clog in the radiator (or damaged/blocked fins), or the radiator fan is not turning on.

You can check all those items.  But you will definitely want your mechanic to do a compression test on your engine.  There is a good chance that you warped your head gasket prior to your overheating or as a result of the overheating.  If your compression check passes, then have those other items inspected as well.
Good luck!
