i was just driving one night a my mitsubishi galant 2001 model died on me now it want turn over it want to but it want i think it's the fuel filter

There are a number of causes for an engine to die.  It's possible the fuel filter is completely clogged.  Typical causes for a stalled engine are not spark from the ignition, bad ignition timing, no fuel supply, or inadequate air supply.  The best plan would be to have your mechanic check those areas of your car to find the problem.
