Mitsubishi Repair: my 1995 eclipse, throttle position sensor, sensor tps

Question
i have a 1995 2.0 non-turbo eclipse and i have been having problems with the rpm,my mechanic told me to change the throttle body because it was accelerating by it self and it was turning off because the rpm would go to zero, i changed the throttle body and the car stills doing the same acceleration problem every time the car gets to a certain temperature. i would like to know what can i do about it.thank you!

Answer
Carlos,
This can be caused by the idle speed controller (ISC) or even the throttle position sensor (TPS).  Both of those components are tied into the throttle and the car's computer.  If either are malfunctioning, the can cause improper idling and even stalling once the engine reaches normal operating temperatures.  Have your mechanic inspect those components if he hasn't already.
Good luck!
