Mitsubishi Repair: oil coming out of air intake, mitsubishi eclipse gs, mitsubishi eclipse

Question
i have a 1996 Mitsubishi eclipse gs and the problem is that there is oil coming out of my air intake, it looks very series

Answer
Michael,
There is a tube that goes from your valve cover to your air intake.  This is called the breather tube.  Oily air can does get blown into the intake, and over time, that oil will accumulate and can appear as it's leaking.  This shouldn't cause any problems, but you may want to have the intake removed and cleaned out.
Good luck!
