Mitsubishi Repair: Mitubishi Pinin - Contantly Reving!, pinin, bad computer

Question
Hi there, When we first bought our Pinin we had the old problem with the carbon build up (Causing cut out/ No idling) We also had to get a new battery had have the computer re-linked to the thing that contols the idle. It's all been fine since....Until this morning! The car now revs constantly - Going up to 3000 or so revs and dropping to below 1000 revs. Any ideas what this could be...and how I could fix it! Not got the money right now to take it to a garage and need to car on the road!

Many thanks in advance,

Kimberley

Answer
Kimberley: Got an AutoZone close by? Have the car coded to see what the computer say, it controls everything in that car. AutoZone codes cars for free. That sounds like either a bad computer or a bad sensor someplace. Also get the fuel pump pressure checked too, a easy and not to costly test. Could be the fuel pump is getting bad. But still the computer test should explain the problem. God bless: Linda
