Mitsubishi Repair: Check Engine Light, eclipse gt, best bet

I have a 2000 Eclipse GT (automatic) around 120k miles. My car has been driving just fine then all of a sudden my check engine light comes on. Any idea what the problem could be?

Alfonso: It could be one of many things. Your best bet is to get the computer in the car coded, got an AutoZone close by? They will code the car for free. Or else take it to a shop or dealership. They will code the car for a cost but then will fix whatever is wrong with it. Which I would say a sensor is getting weak and so the computer has found something in the system so kicked on the light. Please don't put this off if you do it could get worse whatever the problem might be. God bless: Linda
