Mitsubishi Repair: 2002 Mitsubshi montero sport 4x4, montero sport, blown hose

No previous troubles.  I was on a ride when I noticed the revoltions speed up engine ok not going any where. stopped noticed trans fluid under vehicle. Got towed to garage , they found a blown hose , they fixed it but told me they noticed the trans hesitated when going into 3rd gear after testing it. They didnt have the capability to fix it. drove it home did notice it any suggestions what it may be, they said possible a computer chip.  tnks

Larry: I would have the transmission fluid and filter changed, then add a bottle of transmission conditioner. But also have the computer coded to see what that might show you too. Hesitated might just mean it needs that transmission fluid and fiter changed too. Be sure to check the transmission pan to see how much metal is in it. Some is ok, still try the the changing and the conditioner for the transmission to see if that might help too. And the coding of the computer too. God bless: Linda
