Mitsubishi Repair: 96 Eclipse (2.0L), dawayne, true problem

I love my Eclipse, but I now have a major vibrating motor!  I was told that it's the #4 valve gone bad and now my car is only performing on 3 cylinders!  Is this such a true problem for my car?

DaWayne: Who told you the number 4 valve has gone bad? I would be checking other things first before you start thinking of fixing the engine. Number one I would go to another shop to see what they think. Two check the harmonic balancer in your car, it would cause a major vibrating if bad.  Three,Check to see if all the stark plugs are firing, if the wires are good. One never listens to the first shop on things because who knows they might want to clean you of your money but not really want to fix your car. So go to another shop and have them check your car over to see what they think might be its problem. God bless: Linda
