Mitsubishi Repair: wont move., wont move, tranmission

i have a 95 galant and while i was driving the car stopped moving. its runs but wont move. at first we thought the axel had popped out but upon looking at it further we discovered it wasnt that. what could be the problem wiht my car and is it worth fixing.

Ashley: Have you checked the transmission fluid? Does it have any in the transmission? You might try draining out the fluid, replacing the filter and adding a bit of transmission conditioner then see if the car will move then. Might have the computer coded too, it might have put the tranmission into safety mode because it thought it needed that for its safety. If not an auto, but a clutch model then check the fluid level for the clutch could be that is out of fluid too. But I think it is more the transmission having problems than the axel or anything like that. God bless: Linda
