Mitsubishi Repair: 2004 Mitsubishi galant, mitsubishi galant, 2004 mitsubishi galant

Question
I have a 2004 mitsubishi galant. I haven't driven my car in a few days and I'm about 1000 miles over due for an oil change I'm having problems turning I have to accelerate to make a complete turn i refilled my power steering fluid and I'm still having problems what could it be

Answer
Chris: I don't really understand this. What do you mean about having to accelerate to make the car turn? How about this, is there a noise when you turn? If so there could be a belt slipping, which means the belt should be replaced. Being a 1000 miles over an oil change would not mess with your being able to turn. If you refilled your power steering how much did it take? Could be you have a leak in the power steering, so the pump is not working right. If you are having troubles turning then I would take the car to a shop, get that checked out, before you kill off the pump. It needs oil to work right but if the whole system is not working as it should, the pump could get burnt out trying to do its job. Hope this works and God bless: Linda
