Mitsubishi Repair: 04 Eclipse, mitsubishi eclipse, firewall one

Question
My 04 Mitsubishi Eclipse, 4 cyl. will not put out any hot air thru the heater. I checked both hoses going thru the firewall. one is hot and the other is cold. I took hoses apart and ran water and air pressure thru both ends and was able to get some air or water out of other hose. Is there some valve or something on the engine block that is not opening?

Answer
Randy,
The switch in the HVAC control console (where you set the temp in the car) controls the valve allows coolant to flow through the heater core.  The valve itself is most likely located in the in the heater core area.  There could be a problem with the switch itself not engaging.  You should have a mechanic inspect the switch and heater core.
Good luck!
