Mitsubishi Repair: p0300, manual tranny, mitsubishi eclipse

99 mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 gs 420a manual tranny....What other than an oxygen leak fuel pressure prob, timing or ignition system including all sensors, could cause a random multiple misfire???

Usually random misfires are caused by a problem in the ignition system.  A bad coil, plug wires, or spark plug are the typical causes.  Though if your plug didn't fire because it's soaked in oil or fuel, or if there is a momentary loss of compression, you could have other issues.  But if your misfires are unnoticeable and infrequent, you probably just need new plugs and wires.  If you've never replaced your plugs and wires, this is probably a good time to do it.
