Mitsubishi Repair: My Mighty Max Wont Pass Smog, smog inspection, mighty max

It idles and runs fine, the only problem is when I step on the gas hard it some what spudders along, but once up tp speed it runs fine. I sprad carb cleaner ant that help a little but still would not pass smog, please help. Mike L..

If you're not passing your smog inspection, then you're probably running too rich.  Try replacing your air filter and fuel filter if you haven't done so in a while.  Also, your O2 sensor may need replacing as well.  If that still doesn't help, you need to look into replacing your catalytic converter.
