Mitsubishi Repair: Jerkiness when not under load, complete fuel system, auto parts stores

Question
I have a 1989 Galant 2 litre 5 Sp manual, 143,000k, have just had the clutch replaced, all good, but now a problem that I had read of in some forums of the car being a little 'jerky' when coasting / not under load is a little more pronounced. Any clues? Is it likely to be associated with the fuel injection? Can it be cured?

Thanks

JD

Answer
JD,
Poor fuel supply is a common cause of jerky cruising.  Try replacing the fuel filter and air filter.  Also give your car a full tank of premium gas with a bottle of fuel system cleaner.  I like to use STP complete fuel system cleaner.  You can find it at most auto parts stores. The cleaner can help clean out residue buildup in the fuel lines and injectors.
Good luck!
