Mitsubishi Repair: 03 Lancer SRS, srs system, oil light

Question
Recently my srs light on my 03 Lancer started coming on and going off intermittantly while driving. What could cause this? Also the other night while checking a few things over on the car it started to idle slower than normal and then the oil light came on and the motor died, the oil level is fine and it started right back up, could this be the sign of my alternator going bad. I know that the srs is very sensitive to voltage drop, what do you think?

Answer
Mark,
It's true that the SRS system is very sensitive to electrical draws.  In fact, the SRS light in many cars can come in if you plug an electrical appliance into the cigarette lighter.  You should definitely have your battery and alternator load tested.  If you have an AutoZone in your area, they can perform that service for free.
Good luck!
