Mitsubishi Repair: no idle, air cond, battery connection

I had been having problems with my sun roof closing, radio resetting after car was turned off, clock reset, etc, then it would not start today so I bought a new battery. Now the car will start but will not idle. It will idle if the air cond is on and in drive but if the air is turned off the car stalls out.  I drove it for a short while with the air on thinking the computer would be reset  but it wasn't. Please advise me. 2003 eclipse v6

There may be a problem with your alternator or poor battery connection.  There could be a ground connection that is corroded and not making solid contact.  Have a mechanic test your alternator for problems and have it replaced if necessary.
