Mitsubishi Repair: 2004 Mitsubishi Galant, mitsubishi galant, drain hose

Question
Two days ago my car starting making this loud squealing noise when I turned left and I noticed water leaking onto the passenger floor under the glove compartment.  Today while driving to work it stopped making the noise and is no longer leaking water.  What is causing this and how can I fix it because I'm sure the problem did not fix itself?

Answer
Tonya,
Your two problems may be unrelated.  The squealing noise is being caused by a loose drive belt' most likely the power steering belt.  You should have a mechanic inspect your belts and replace as necessary.

The water dripping on the floor is most likely caused by a clog in the drain hose of your A/C evaporator.  You can have a mechanic try to clear the clog by blowing come compressed air to the hose.  If that does not stop the leak, your mechanic will need to do further investigation why the water is leaking in.
Good luck!
