Mitsubishi Repair: 1995 eagle summit cruise control problem, fuel mileage, eagle summit

Question
When engaged, the cruise control over controls.  i.e. you can feel a slight jerking as the car accelerates and slows while the cruise is trying to maintain a constant speed.  It is quite annoying and I suspect hurting my gas mileage as well.  

Is this something I can adjust easily myself?

Gary: You will have to replace the cruise control part, they do get old and have to be replaced with a new part from time to time. Still when is the last time you did a good tune up on this car, could be the cruise control is doing its job but your car's engine needs a tune up. That would help your fuel mileage too. Also have you checked the air in your car tires? Keeping them all the same will help a lot too. God bless: Linda
