Mitsubishi Repair: lancer horn, inspection sticker, air bag

My lancer's horn is not working It is a 2004 model. The dealership quoted me 800.00 to fix because it is behind the air bag and they said they would have to put a new air bag in after they fix it so I can get an inspection sticker. Is this a correct cost and is there any thing else I can do that would be less expensive?

Vivian: Before going this route did you check to see if a fuse might be blown but then I would think the dealership would look at this. I know airbags are costly, you could get a your phone, sit down someplace and call a few shops to see what they might do the job for less money. A dealership is very costly because of their high cost of labor. It would not hurt to call around and see what else might be there for you. What in this day and time. Still why did the horn stop working would be my question to the dealership too. God bless: Linda
