Answer
Jim: You need to check your radiator core, when you look into your radiator does it have a kind of brown or maybe green looking well heck I can not come up with a word here. But still you need to clean the radiator core, these older cars get something that looks on the order of puddling inside the radiator so that it is not doing its job anymore. As to help cool the engine, so you might need to take the radiator off the clean it really good and get all that out of the radiator. You should check the front of the radiator make sure it is clean and that the air can get through it. Also check the radiator cap, it might be old and not doing its job too.Are the fans doing their jobs? Do they kick on when the temp gets up on the high side of things. You might need to replace them. Sometimes then the engine is rebuild things don't get hooked up just right. So maybe the fans were not rehooked.  On the ac you might need to get it recharged that is why it is not putting out much in the way of cool air.Well some ideas for you. God bless: Linda
