Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsu Mirage 1996, mitsubishi mirage, fm modulator

Question
I have 2 questions straight Mitsubishi Mirage '96 1.8L DOHC

1. I recently got Engine swapped. Now my cruise control does not work (the dash board switch lights up, but instrument panel does not indicate, or steering switches do not respond)
2. I changed the radio my self; worked very well. I wanted to put a CD changer with FM Modulator, I joined the wires Y and R to respective wires. Neither the radio nor CD changer powered on. I bent under the dashboards, discovered that the radio fuse had blown out and I replaced. Meanwhile, I checked the other fuses also, every thing appeared fine.
No, the factory clock, the radio, room light, the automatic seat belts that open when the door is opened, and the "door open" warning beep are NOT functioning. I also looked under the hood fuses, they all seem fine. Are there any other fuses that need to be replaced. I am confused. Thanks for your help and advises

Answer
Danzung,
1. After you did your engine swap, did you replace the cruise control module as well?  It's possible the cables for the cruise control were not tensioned properly.  Also, if the brake pedal or clutch pedal (if you have a manual transmission) are at all depressed, then the cruise control will not activate.  See if you can pull up on the pedal(s) to see if there is any play.

2. If the new radio you installed was not grounded properly, it will not power on and could blow other fuses.  The fuses under the steering column may appear ok, but the best way is to check them with an ohm meter or test light.

Good luck!
