Mitsubishi Repair: belt making noise, eclipse gs, loud noise

hi, when i turn on my 98 eclipse gs non-turbo it makes a loud noise only for about 10 seconds then it goes away

Josh: You need to check the belt and it either needs to be replaced as it is getting old. Or else you need to tighten it up some, because the belt is slipping. If you let this go, with time the belt will break or else you will be zipping down the road and loose the belt because it got so loose on the car. So get this checked at a shop. God bless: Linda
